Claire Allan is a partner at Child & Child and has experience in all areas of residential property with particular expertise in leasehold enfranchisement, acting for both landlords and tenants in individual lease extension and collective claims to acquire the freehold. Claire advises on claims under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (as amended) and the Leasehold Reform Act 1967. Claire also advises on the right of first refusal under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987. Claire acts on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  
Claire has successfully completed numerous claims under the legislation and is fully conversant with the technicalities and complexities within this field. Claire has considerable experience and is recognised as one of the experts in this field. She is particularly noted for her expertise in dealing with enfranchisement claims against the Grosvenor Estate, Wellcome Trust, Cadogan Estate and Howard de Walden Estate. Claire won 'Solicitor of the Year' at the annual Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards 2012 (the ERMAs) and featured in the Hot 100 Property professionals in 2015.
